Human Resources Manager
The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the VP/Director of General Administration/HR.
The Manager of Human Resources must understand and support the organization�s mission, vision, values and principles, and be able to clearly articulate the organization�s different programs. Respect for confidential information is essential.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Planning with the CEO, President and VP/Director of General Administration/HR regarding and the management of staffing and office culture.
- Manage hiring process:
- Write job descriptions and oversee appropriate postings
- Review applications
- Conduct and document interviews, administer and evaluate tests
- Interview and document references
- Manage background checks
- Regularly update and manage on boarding procedures
- Maintain all Human Resources documentation, records and reports
- Support disciplinary processes and terminations, as appropriate, and maintain appropriate documentation
- Conduct and document exit interviews
- Provide guidance to managers regarding mentoring and discipline
- Manage and report on all employee benefits, including renewal of health, life, unemployment, and disability insurances, and execute semi-monthly transfers of 403(b) withholding
- Review and update the Staff Policy Manual
- Monitor staff evaluations
- Consult with counsel on human resource matters as needed
- Regular review of laws, regulations, and best practices and their integration with current policies to assure compliance; work with other departments as needed (e.g., Business Continuity Plan, Better Business Bureau requirements, etc.)
- Maintain staff organizational chart
- Oversee and document semi-monthly payroll, including managing time sheets and distributing W2�s
- Identify and research key staff policies and skill sets, and design and coordinate respective staff trainings
- Hear and resolve staff grievances or conflicts
- Research and manage staff professional development
- Generate reports and notices to staff as required by law
- Understand Hanergy America's work product
- Support Hanergy America's Compensation Committee
- Ably represent Hanergy America in a professional manner as needed
- Such other responsibilities may be necessary to support the Operations Department and the organization
Job Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission and goals of Hanergy America
- BA or BS degree; Master's degree in Human Resources a plus
- Minimum 3 years in Human Resources or related areas
- Strong interviewing technique
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data, attend to details as well as the overall process and present all of it in a clear fashion
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to respond to common HR-related inquiries and also know how to manage complaints or conflicts
- Familiarity with effective ways to attract appropriate candidates for hire
- Understanding of a budget process and project management
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to supervise and manage staff
- Self-starter, flexible, motivated, and able to take initiative in all situations
- Good attention to details and follow through
- Must be computer proficient, especially with MS Office Suite
- Represent Hanergy America in professional manner at all times
- Mandarin speaking preferred
